The latest watch from Konstantin Chaykin is created in honor of Eadweard Muybridge and his zoopraxiscope and is called the Cinema watch. A zoopraxiscope, invented in 1879, is a device used to project images created chronographically. Muybridge tried to cipher if there was a moment when the horse’s legs are all in the air and therefore the running horse was included in this timepiece that runs for almost 20 second, proving the fact that a galloping horse almost flies for a short span as it has no leg touching the ground. The new Christopher Claret gets its name from a Greek word – Kantharos which means a drinking vessel. The watch doesn't exactly resemble a glass of water but probably Claret’s motive behind naming it so was to comment on the similarity between the high-contrast dial of the watch and the high-contrast colors used on these ancient pots. The Kantharos has a mechanical self-winding movement and uses a MBA13 Calibre with 75 jewels. The dial has two sub-dials placed at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively. The innovative MP-05 LaFerrari has set a world record for having a 50-hour reserve for a hand-wound tourbillon wristwatch. The watch is designed so as to resemble the engine bay of a Ferrari with those red cylinder banks and the admission manifold in the middle. The tourbillon movement system and the 637 components are housed in a specially microblasted black PVD-coated titanium case. The minutes and hours are displayed on the right indicated with the assistance of one anodized black aluminum cylinder each. British watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin’s ingenious new collection - TRIAD features a triple hour-minute indication laid upon an open dial, crafted inside a stainless steel case with a bezel of 18k rose-gold. The Chinese perfect number 3 has a lot of significance in the timepiece. Speake-Marin’s trademark, flame blued Foundation style hands rotates in a Triad reflecting a single, rich sound. The hands rotate over three wheels shaped like topping tools of a watchmaker. They are arranged in an equilateral triangle over a smaller wheel of the same type, placed centrally. The contrasting wheels are placed over a rhodium-plated German silver movement plate, which is hand finished for added lustre. The four Cardinal points of the dial are marked with white roman numerals providing adequate separation for the golden texts around the dial’s perimeter. The four-day event in Porto Cervo attracts a fleet of sailing enthusiasts racing on challenging courses of up to 40 nautical miles around the islands of the Maddalena Archipelago. The event already has more than fifty yachts from six different classes registered for the race. The "Racing” Spinnaker category has successfully attracted several prominent names such as, Patrick Demarchelier (Puffy Swan 53) to Raphael Magras (Mae-Lia), Jean-Pierre Dick (JP 54), and Gideon Messink (Satori). Meanwhile in the "Maxi” class, Peter Harrison’s giant ketch Sojana, will take on Jean-Philippe Pinatel’s Med Spirit and Idea of London, a 78-foot super-yacht.

For the very first time, the Voiles de Saint will see sailing enthusiast Peter Harrison, CEO of Richard Mille participate with his Jolt 2 custom made racing yacht, designed by Reichel Pugh of San Diego. He will be racing in both the Spinnaker categories.

The winner of the event will receive the Richard Mille RM 028 Titanuim diver's watch.  By a meticulous incorporation of elements from a traditional diver’s watch to its signature skeletonized construct, Richard Mille’s new RM 028 was able to meet the stringent ISO 6425 standard for diver’s watch. Measured at 47 mm in diameter, the RM 028 is water resistant to 300 meters, thanks to an assembly of triple bezel and 22 screws.

Just as a true shark, this can resist in water up to 200 meters and it features an automatic movement with exhibition caseback. Unveiled at SIHH 2013, Audemars Piguet presents the Royal Oak Offshore Diver timepiece.  A new diving timepiece is completely crafted in black ceramic and fitted on a matching vulcanized rubber strap with a titanium pin buckle. It's 42.0 mm x 13.90 mm case is made from black ceramic. It features a glare-proofed Sapphire crystal, a Titanium glare-proofed Sapphire crystal caseback, a black ceramic bezel and crowns and Titanium lug links. It has a water-resistance 300m. The watch is powered by an AP Manufacture self-winding caliber 3120. The black dial is with 'Méga Tapisserie' pattern with white gold applied hour-markers and hands with luminescent coating. It features a black inner rotational divers bezel with a diving scale and zone from 12 to 3 o'clock in orange. For superb readability even in the most extreme conditions, white gold applied markers and the hour hand are coated with bright luminescence. For the same reason, minute and second hands are marked in orange. This in-house movement beats on the frequency of 21,600 alternations per hour and provides the power-reserve of 60 hours.

Perrelet’s foray into this niche is focused on a very specific genre known as hentai, a kind of Japanese Manga aimed at adults only. Manga style is deeply linked with Japanese based comics and anime. Anime is typically characterized by stylized colourful art and often adult themes which have been used by Perrelet beautifully in this collection. A very racy design created in black and white, with just a hint of red. Perrelet Turbine Erotic is not for the easily offended, "nor safe for work”, but definitely a conversation starter for that night out in town. The IWC Big Pilot's watch is driven by an in-house manufactured 51614 caliber movement and a high quality Pellaton winding system that builds up a 7 day power reserve. Yet, the most  eye-catching feature of the timepiece is it's perpetual calendar which displays the date, day and month on each sub-dial guaranteeing more than enough readability. The unique moon phase display is located at the 12 o'clock position. The timepiece bears a screw-in crown and a breguet spring. 

The case back and crown are composed of grade 5 titanium, which is stronger in comparison to steel. In addition, the case back is engraved with an enamel Top Gun logo right under the sapphire glass. The 48 mm dial is made of zirconium oxide, preventing scratches to the watch. A IWC fact finding is that the the in-house caliber movement will not require any adjustment up to 2100 to say the least. Along with the moon phase display which will be error free for another 577.5 years, making it one of the most accurate moonphase in an automatic perpetual calendar.

The watch has water resistance up to 6 bars and is priced at an eloquent USD 38,200. The Top Gun series from IWC is also home to its Miramar counterpart. This cousin to the Perpetual Calendar watch, is more subtle with its polished grey ceramic case and green canvas strap drawing its colors from the military. Housing a 51111 calibre, known to be on of the most largest automatic movements present. Due to its 8.5 day power reserve , the watch assures accuracy in timing for a span of seven days, when fully wound. Secured against pressure drops in the cockpit, the Miramar has an anti-reflective coating on both sides. This version from the Big Pilot series is priced at a more economical USD 18,600.
