The Mühle-GlashütteSAR Flieger Chronograph watch is designed to be tough, waterproof, weather proof and solid, easy to read and that too even stormy conditions. The designed was initiated as a result of the collaboration with German Navy, the watch is robust, easy to read and has the ability to calculate the air speed, requirements of the timepiece since in search and rescue conditions the weather is at its extremities and the watch is sometimes the only mechanical instrument which would function. 

The sapphire crystal in this watch is 2.5mm thick and along with the shockproof automatic movement this device is extremely dependable for those who perform search and rescue operations at sea. 

The steel casing is a fortification against water and 44mm dial makes easy reading especially in dire flying conditions, when one has the moment to only make a quick glance at the watch.To aid better readability, the important markers like the time functions, chronograph pushers and the minute and hour counters are marked in "Orange”.The 10 sec scale provided is useful for the rescue crew to calculate the air speed.
