Brad Pitt has spent $390,000 on one of the world’s most expensive watches as a wedding present for fiancée Angelina Jolie. The Fight Club star snapped up a luxurious Patek Philippe Minute Repeater , despite there being a two-year waiting list for it. He decided to buy one after meeting the Stern family at a watch fair in Basel.
Brad, 48, got engaged to Angelina, 37, in April and they are expected to marry in a ceremony at their French chateau. The couple is currently living in Surrey with their six children.
The custom-made timepiece is in rose gold with a mother of pearl dial and takes two months to make. There are very few company's who make ladies segment of such grand complications, Patek is one of them and they release rarities like this one few every year. The dial in in creme - beige and complimented well with alligator skin strap which is fawn colored. The numerals on the dial are Breguet and hands are "Poire Stuart”, the dial circumference is marked with pearl shaped markers for minutes.
Each one of these pieces is checked by a member of the Stern family — who own Patek Philippe — at the firm’s HQ in Geneva, Switzerland.
