Tag Heuer
brand ambassadors and Hollywood superstars, Leo Dicaprio and Cameron Diaz came
together to raise money for charity.
The
37-year-old actor helped his former co-star Cameron Diaz celebrate the launch
of her limited edition signed watch at the event which raised money for the UN
Women and New York Cares’ Hurricane Sandy relief effort.
"I'm very proud to be associated with a
company that cares so much and gives so much back." DiCaprio said as
he sported the limited edition Leonardo DiCaprio Link Calibre 16 Chronograph by
TAG Heuer, the proceeds of which go to the actor's charity partners, Green
Cross International and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Diaz
unveiled the Ladies' Link Automatic Watch- the first automatic watch in the
Link Lady line. The presentation of which included the limited edition watch,
ring and bracelet set co-designed by Diaz. Profits from the sale of the Link
Lady Trilogy, go to support UN Women, an international organization established
to promote gender equality and help prevent violence against women.
TAG Heuer
president and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, who introduced each of the actors, and
presented Diaz with a unique yellow gold version of the Link Lady Trilogy, told
the audience the event had a double purpose. "New York and New Jersey were visited by a hurricane" said
Babin. "We decided it was important
to help New York Cares with their relief efforts, and we are donating $100 for
every guest who is here, which means we will be giving at least $50,000."
It was an
elegant event filled with sentiments of concern and backed by the generosity to
give back.
