We present our exclusive list of Top 20 Luxury Watches from Baselworld 2013, which just concluded in April.
Ressence Type 3 Watch
Recently launched Ressence Type 3 has a life-like aura to it. The secret lays in the display being filled with liquid. The sapphire crystal and the naptha-type fluid share a more similar refraction index as compared to air and thereby giving the watch a two dimensional appeal. The use of high-contrasting colors that is black dial, white indicators & a tinge of orange makes the display easier to see. The dial consists of three centrally placed discs which show seconds, hours and day. The perimeter of the watch has two rings, the inner ring shows minutes and the outermost shows the date at 6’o clock. Another interesting fact about the watch is that instead of the hands the indicating discs and the outer ring do the moving around. The sapphire case extends to the back of the watch thus eliminating the need of a crown. Type-3 comes with a gravitational gearing system that allows you to change the time and date settings when the watch is rotated. Except for the gears all the components of the watch are made up of titanium and the display system comprises of 28 gears and 57 jewels. The diameter of the watch is 44mm and has a 36 hours power reserve. The upper segment encompasses a water resistant seal and a shock absorption system.

Konstantin Chaykin Cinema Watch
The latest watch from Konstantin Chaykin is created in honor of Eadweard Muybridge and his zoopraxiscope and is called the Cinema watch. A zoopraxiscope, invented in 1879, is a device used to project images created chronographically. Muybridge tried to cipher if there was a moment when the horse’s legs are all in the air and therefore the running horse was included in this timepiece that runs for almost 20 second, proving the fact that a galloping horse almost flies for a short span as it has no leg touching the ground. But the true beauty of the watch is delivered by the design as it very accurately portrays a pattern of the old camera on the dial. The 01-KCM1 Calibre used in the Cinema is made by Konstantin Chaykin and the movement has a power reserve of 48 hours. The animation function and the time have different mainspring barrels and can be wound by turning the crown in different directions.

The Kantharos has a mechanical self-winding movement and uses a MBA13 Calibre with 75 jewels. The dial has two sub-dials placed at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively. The former is the hours sub-register for the chronograph and the latter shows the minutes. The watch features a constant force escapement just below the two sub-dials along with a cathedral gong placed at 10 o’clock that sounds whenever you press the chronograph single pusher positioned at 2 o’clock. The reverse side of the watch is an eye-candy for watch lovers with the movements visible to the eye. by Cheap Diesel Watches For Men
All of these watches are stunning with out-of-the-box design. But the problem is their price. For an ordinary American, the best watch is one that comes under $1000. Everything over this price range is luxury.

by Montre BRM
I have couple of points to mention over here :
1. The image of Jacob & Co. watch Epic SF24 is wrong , instead of Epic SF24 image you have used image of Quattro and hence the key feature of Epic SF24 Airport Flap System cannot be seen and admired by viewer.
2. I am really upset at not seeing STRANGER by Ulysse Nardin in this list as it is very original and beautiful created watch. In my opinion one of very innovative watch of the year.
